Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Veri ("Veri," "we," "us"), including our website, APIs, SDK, dashboard, and training and deployment services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Veri. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Train, fine-tune, or deploy models on data you do not have the rights to use.
  • Generate or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes intellectual property.
  • Probe, scan, or interfere with the Services, attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls, or run abusive workloads.
  • Use the Services to build a competing product or to resell capacity without our written permission.
  • Submit reward functions or custom code designed to exfiltrate data, interfere with the control plane, or consume resources beyond the job's allocation.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the datasets you upload, the reward functions you submit, the models you train, and the outputs your deployments produce (collectively, "Your Content"). You grant Veri a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide and improve the Services and to comply with law.

You are responsible for Your Content, including ensuring you have the rights and permissions necessary to use it on Veri.

4. How we handle Your Content

We process Your Content only to run the jobs you submit. The following practices apply:

  • No model training on your data. We do not use Your Content to train, improve, or evaluate our own models or any third-party models. Your datasets and trained weights are never used for any purpose other than executing your jobs.
  • Ephemeral compute. Each job runs on a dedicated GPU instance that is terminated when the job completes, fails, or is cancelled. All data on the instance's local disks — including downloaded datasets, model weights, and temporary files — is destroyed at termination. No customer content persists on compute hardware after a job ends.
  • Isolated storage. Your Content is stored in encrypted object storage under keys scoped to your account. Other users cannot access your data. GPU instances access your data only through short-lived presigned URLs (2-hour expiry) and cannot read other users' data.
  • No human inspection. We do not manually read your datasets, reward functions, or model outputs unless you request support and explicitly share access, or where required for security investigation or legal compliance.
  • Deletion. You can delete Your Content at any time through the dashboard or API. Deleting a training job removes its checkpoints and logs. Deleting a dataset removes the underlying data. Upon account closure, we will delete all Your Content within a reasonable period.

For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Custom code & reward functions

You may submit custom Python code as reward functions or custom training scripts. This code runs on GPU instances within your job's allocation. You are responsible for the behavior of code you submit. We are not liable for any damage caused by your custom code, including data loss or unauthorized network access from within a job.

Custom code runs with the job's IAM role, which is restricted to reading job configuration and writing bootstrap logs. It cannot access other users' data or the control plane directly.

6. Our platform

Veri, its software, designs, and documentation are owned by us and are licensed, not sold, to you. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Services in accordance with these Terms. The Veri name and logo are our trademarks.

7. Beta & preview features

Veri is currently in early access. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Beta features are provided "as is" and may have lower availability or reliability than generally available features.

8. Fees

Pricing for paid features is described on our pricing page or in an order form. You authorize us (or our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your designated payment method for amounts owed. Fees are billed as prepaid credits that are consumed as you run jobs. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

9. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your use poses a security or legal risk, or if we are required to by law. Upon termination, we will delete Your Content within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability).

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. MODEL OUTPUTS MAY BE INACCURATE; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVALUATING OUTPUTS BEFORE RELYING ON THEM.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

12. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Veri against any claims, damages, and costs arising from your use of the Services, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-product notice). Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
